These Estates

You’d be forgiven for thinking every band from Canada has twenty members and sounds like a bunch of high-school kids rehearsing over a boombox playing Starship’s greatest hits. Saskatchewan’s finest undie rock trio are a world away from the studio indulgences of The Great White North’s favoured sons. These Estates’ anthemic power punk harkens back to simpler times when the total sum of a band’s ambition was to play a guitar, sing a song, rock a show, drink a beer and maybe one day get in a van. On the day that happens, you can pretty much guarantee they’ll be rocking tapes by Silkworm, Archers of Loaf and Husker Du on the van’s stereo. Lovelorn yarns of bitterness, bourbon and BBQ sauce over rumbling rhythms and blazing guitars. — Ptommydski

The PRF Radio Hour – August 13th, 2011

Bradley R. Weissenberger of the rock band .22 hosted an all PRF radio show this passed Saturday, August 13th, 2011 on 106.7 WRHC Radio Harbor Country in Grand Haven, MI from 9 to 11 PM. In addition, the show was streamed live on their website through out the digital land.

While the broadcast, with all it’s wacky comedy bits, and controversial topics of conversation was not saved, Mr. Weissenberger was kind enough to replicate the playlist on this PRF Radio Hour on Bandcamp page. Click through to enjoy a stream of great music.
