The newest band to the PRF Auktoberfyst 2011 lineup was a band called Nice. They’ve got a Bully, a guy with Two Hands, a fictitious Limb, and a dude with no shirt. Really, what else could you ask for? They plowed through their inaugural set with poise and solidarity for all the funk rockers that have gone before them. There were also notes, voices, and rhythm.
Max Benson performs a special solo show filled with songs about girls, beer, and booze. Max helped kick off the first day of PRF Auktoberfyst 2011 on Thursday, September 29th, 2011 at Quenchers Saloon in Chicago, IL and gave an awesome performance.
There’s still room for a lot of firsts in land of PRF BBQ’s, but being the first Rap Group has officially been crossed off the list. If you’re a fan of Snookie, David Hasselhoff, or beer, you will be right at home with the boys of LGX. They kicked off PRF Auktoberfyst 2011 on Thursday, September 29th, 2011 at Quenchers Saloon in Chicago, IL.
Chris Williams from Plastic Flame Press returns in fine form with another festival poster for the PRF Auktoberfyst 2011.
The Poster is four screens on 80 lbs French Madero Beach. It measures 12.5″x19″, and is an edition of 50. Interested parties can arrange for purchase at firstname.lastname@example.org or hope to get one at the show.
A description of the poster, from the artist himself:
I think Jonah had said something about Bradley needing a statue erected in his honor, so I thought about trying to create a stately portrait of a hunter with his collection. A viking fish named Thor, a pipe smoking owl, a mini T. Rex and a Christmas cheetah. The request to have “Genuine strength manifests itself as quiet resolve” incorporated helped seal the deal.
Notes: the fish was originally a piranha, the cheetah the ghost of a grizzly bear and the T Rex a greyhound; the owl has been around since the initial sketch for no apparent reason.
